E-commerce company could move headquarters, 500 employees to Broward

An e-commerce retailer is seeking incentives to move its national headquarters to Plantation in a move that would create 500 local jobs and take up a big block of office space.

The City Council on May 26 will consider the job growth incentive package for “Project Eterias," a condential company. The company is seeking $500,000 in tax refunds, with half from the city and half from Broward County, upon creating the jobs from 2021 to 2024. The 500 jobs would pay an average wage of $100,000, about 150% the county average. The incentives would be paid out over six years.
